→Activated Carbon Filter Holder for the exhaust fan on the Qidi Tech X-Smart 3

To help with the fumes while printing ASA I created this Activated Carbon Filter holder to affix directly on the exhaust fan mounting. 

Interior ‘compartment’ is 60x60mm and 10mm deep. It's meant to be used with 10mm Activated Carbon filter sheet often marketed as "odor filter" or “compost odor filter for Jospeh Jospeh bins” found on Amazon and cut square. A particle filter (such as surgical mask or P95 mask) can probably be cut to size and inserted between the fan and the carbon to help filter even more and extend the life of the carbon filter but it might impact air flow.

Unfortunately the main body outer shell does extend a bit too much and has a high change of blocking the rotation of the spool if left in the original spool holder as seen on pic.4. 

I recommend using a spool holder such as this one printables.com/model/585962 as a work around.

Designed to be printed support-less.

Simply unscrew the nuts, removed the metal grill, and place instead the main body using original screws and nuts.

Cover is designed to clip directly to main body for cleaner look but probably not needed.

Grill design is directly inspired by the original one. 

Saw a couple ideas around using the exhaust fan and adapting an off the shelf filters but none of them worked for me or with what was available quickly/cheaply on Amazon in my region.
