Description

Introducing the ripcord motorcycle! This is the first model of it's kind on makerworld as far as I can tell. Simply insert the rip cord, pull, and release to make the motorcycle speed forward.

Assembly:

Note: This assembly uses 8 us quarters in the wheels to add weight. Without these, the assembly will not work properly.

Insert four quarters into each of the hexagonal wheel pieces

Press fit the second wheel piece onto the hexagonal wheel pieces

Press fit the two sides of the frames onto each other

Hold each of the wheels in place of their respective holes, then place pins into each side through the frame and into the wheel

Ensure that each of the wheels spin freely, if not make sure that the pins are fully inside the wheels

Insert the ripcord into the motorcycle, ensuring that it goes through both sides

Pull the ripcord away from you, and release the motorcycle on the ground

Notes:

Due to differences in filament and printer tolerances, some of the press fits might be too tight or too loose. I used hatchbox filament for all the parts and the tolerances worked well, but just be aware that this may not always be the case. In the case that it is too tight, sand down the edges slightly with a file. If it is too loose, take some tape and wrap it around the edges before press fitting the part.

I switched out the filament halfway through the print to give the model a green stripe down the middle. This is not in the G-code, I simply paused the print and swapped filament. This is of course not required, but it gives it extra flare!

This is V1 of the ripcord motorcycle, meaning there may be small issues that need to be adressed. If you encounter any issues, feel free to let me know and I will do my best to rectify it as soon as possible.

Thank you for your courtesy, I am new to the 3D printing community and am always learning.

Enjoy the ripcord motorcycle!
