Description

This is the most complex project i ever made!

It took like 3 months to make, but i think it is awesome.

You can see the live data from it here.

Cost: ≈40€ for the parts (not tools)

Components:

-3x ESP8266 D1 MINI

-3x HTU2X Sensor

-2x BMP280 Sensor

-1x 3.2" TFT Screen

-5x M4x8mm Screw, 1x M4 Nut

-2 AA battery holders

-6 Rechargable NiMH Batteries

Tools and Materials:

-Soldering Iron

-Solder and Flux

-Wire

-Rubber Seal (2mm diameter)

-CA Glue (Superglue)

-Hotglue gun and Glue Sticks

-3D Printer

-Filament (PLA or PETG)

STEP 1

Unpack all parts and check that they are all here.

Install Arduino IDE and all needed libraries.

Print all of the pieces.

Superglue the seal intno its place.

STEP 2

Decide which ESP is the master.

Upload "MACAdress.ino" to it and open the serial monitor.

Write down the mac adress that it read.

In both folders there is a “config.h” file.

Open it and customize your station.

Then upload to the ESP.

STEP 3

Connect everything

HTU2X:

VCC - 3V3

GND - GND

SCL - D1

SDA - D2

TFT:

VCC - VCC

GND - GND

LED - VCC

SDO - D6

SCK - D5

SDI - D7

DC - D3

RESET - D4

CS - D8

Battery pack:

Red - VCC

Black - GND

The BMP280 just connects to the HTU2X in series.

Some of them are double-connections.

STEP 4

Glue everything to its place.

Close it all up.

STEP 5

Plug your main unit in and connect to its wifi and configure wifi password and ssid.

STEP 6

Enjoy!

If you have problems:

  1. Restart the device.
  2. Check wiring.
  3. Reupload code

If any of these cannot help you or you have any questions, contact me using makerworld messages.

If anyone wanted a station made and configured from me i could make a couple stations a month so message me using makerworld messages.
