3D model description

Thanks to the positive reception for the Sleeping Kitten Secret Box comes its fun sequel..... the Kraken Guardian Secret Treasure Box!

This exotic undersea creature (you may scale as big as your printer can handle) is not your ordinary Kraken. Your pet monster has a secret.

It actually has a mouth and a throat (in the print size of 122mm height---- its just big enough to swallow a quarter)- as well as a stomach deep inside which you can fill with whatever treasure you want it to guard.

The Kraken's mouth has a push-pop lid design very similar to the one with the Sleeping Cat.... which may be pushed in to snap lock, and opened by sticking something in the hole and pulling it off. A small allen wrench is perfect for this job. But don't worry if you can't find one- just for fun I've also included a printable treasure key to open it!

FUN IDEA: Fill with MCT "pearl" beads for use in the bath

3D printing settings

Metallic filament is recommended for that wet undersea look. If you like you can touch up the eyes with any color paint marker, add spots or coloration to taste.

Support: To buildplate only + Brim.

Support blocker: Recommend a SUPPORT BLOCKER over the mouth hole, otherwise you will have to punch through & pull out center support with longnose pliers.

Seam Postion: Be sure in slicing to set Seam Position to RANDOM - (Prusa- Seam Position- RANDOM) (Cura- Z Seam Alignment RANDOM) Kracken will then have its unusual looking speckled skin.

"Battle Scars" Option: For a tougher looking, scrappy Kracken, set Seam Position to NEAREST). It will then have smooth skin, but random "battle" scars. See pics. I have painted the Battle scars Kracken with black eyes to give it a tougher look lol.

All pictures shown are the small Kracken ("dime throat"). If there is more interest I can print a large one.
Recommended Size: Go big. The bigger your Kracken, the more things it can eat!

Functional sizes are included for reference:

Quarter Throat size: x196 y245 z122
Dime Throat size: x148 y185 z92.2

After print, recommend:
A fine tip paint marker to color the eyes inside the lids.

I used silver. Its easy but do it carefully! You only get one go at it. May wrap sandpaper around finger and lightly sand out the throat, so stuff easily slips in and out of its belly- which is in the head.
