Description

Here are files for a Trout Ballast Hopper, they are drawn full size so scale to suit your model.

The Trout was developed by Leeds Forge in the 1920s from designs dating from the 1910s for the South Eastern and Chatham Railway and for export. The design given LNER Diagram 54 and LMS Diagram 1800, was unfitted and had a capacity of 25 tons. Later lots of wagons were built by Met Cam and BRCW. After nationalisation British Railways built yet more.

In 1962, some ex-LNER built wagons had extended sides added to work as slag ballast hoppers.

The models here shall need wire handrails adding and appropriate buffers are available elsewhere in my designs.

Bespoke transfers have been made especially for these models and are available from Cambridge Custom Transfers.

Enjoy

Jonny
