Description

Here are all of the face plates for my Magnetic Face Lithophane Boxes and Magnetic Face Picture Frames!

Find those here:

Lithophane Boxes - https://makerworld.com/en/models/167267#profileId-183639

Picture Frames - https://makerworld.com/en/models/255230#profileId-271632

Printing:

Everything should be good to print in the included print profiles, but do take note of the pauses for each plate. These are there to allow you to embed 8mm x 2mm magnets. The pockets are a little deeper and you may be able to fit 8mm x 2.5mm magnets.

Notes:

I intend to add face plates as I design them, so check back regularly. If you have any requests, just ask! Also, feel free to change the colors to whatever you want.

I wanted some ind of wood looking frame and I took inspiration from @kmdesignslinn with the bottom surface pattern. I looked through the few options and settled with Octagram Spiral. I think it gives it some kind of glued end grain type of frame. I really like the way it came out. Thanks for the make. It would be a nice addition to the mix if you created a frame and make a channel to where you can put a color and have it look like inlay. Tricolor silk, could make it look like resin perhaps.

That is a really cool idea and the color works great! I'll have to see what I can do for a more wood grain type effect. I never even thought about trying to do that. As for the inlay, are you talking about a recessed groove, or just a border that you can change the color of?

A recessed groove would be great if anyone wants to fill it with anything, but I was thinking of a line or 2 that you can change the color. Like the "Love" frame, without words. This way, one can use that pattern on bottom layer for wood filament, the lines would give it an inlay look. But the lines would have to be off center. Either closer to the outer edge or the inner edge. I was going for something like this in the 1st picture. The 2nd & 3rd pic is what I was picturing for the inlay.

Another thing is that the color of the wood filament on the frame isn't as light as in the pic. When light hits it, it gives it that lighter sheen looking color like in the pic. But with other manufacturers offering wood filament in different shades now, it could help achieve whatever look someone is going for. If they would only come out with wood filament like the dual and triple kind, I think you could actually achieve a wood grain look.

This frame looks amazing. Getting ready to send off another print with a different style of frame using my sparkly PEY plate.
