A string top is a classic, timeless toy that provides hours of entertainment and fascination. Unlike traditional spinning tops, which are simply spun using the fingers, the string spinning top is powered by a string wound around its axis.

Its design is often simple but ingenious: a cylindrical or conical body with a central axis on which the string is wound.

To play with a string spinner, you start by winding the string around the axis as you rotate the spinner. Once the string is sufficiently wound, you pull sharply on it, transferring kinetic energy to the spinning top and causing it to rotate rapidly on its axis. The aim is often to keep the spinner spinning for as long as possible, skilfully manipulating the string to maintain its momentum.

The string spinning top offers a unique sensory experience, with the characteristic whirr of rapid movement and the tactile sensation of string slipping between the fingers. As well as being a fun toy, it can also teach physics concepts such as inertia, friction and conservation of motion.

Once printed, you need to pass the axle through the upper part of the spinner, then put a little glue on the part of the axle and the side to be glued and then put the lower part of the spinner in place. Don't forget to put the front plate on!
