Description

Small Chess Set I designed for the Kit Card Contest! Just print both of the files, each in an individual color and you got the full Set. :)

No need for multicolor printers and in theory no need for Support. Should work best with a .4 nozzle!

The set is easy to assemble, disassemble and reassemble. Perfect to take it with you where ever you go!

IMPORTANT:

Print both files. If you print one twice, the frame pieces wont fit!

Version 2:

I changed the way two of the outside framepieces connect together. In Version 1 it was tricky to get the final frame piece to fit into place. With Version 2 the last frame piece snaps into place from above, making the assembly very easy!

I sadly have no printer at the moment, so feel free to post your print profiles, and message me with pictures or things I should change!

Very nice design! The pieces snapped together nicely. I assembled the middle pieces first and then added the outside. The last side was a little tricky. I started on one end and rotated it into place.

Thank you so much for your feedback! As I've written, I don't have a 3D printer myself, so I was kinda just hoping for the best. It makes me really happy to see my design worked out quite nice! Now that you mention the struggle of putting the last piece into place, it totally makes sense. I wasn't thinking about that when designing it. I will make a revision, where the last piece snaps in just from above, that should make the assembly much easier. Once again thanks a lot for the feedback and have fun with the chess set!

I think the kit Card is 180mm x 180mm. So in theory you should be able to print it on a1 mini, right?

can you provide the dimensions for the completed board after assembly?

If I have the correct measurements in my head it should be about 13cm by 13cm. I think 128mm by 128mm to be correct. But I'm not 100 percent sure. I will measure it in fusion tomorrow. I also plan on doing the revision tomorrow. I'll reach out to you as soon as I had the time to do so :)
