Description

I created this simple plate (not a full frame) for geocaching. But it's easy to change the text for what you want. Just follow this instruction. There are two profiles, one for OrcaSlicer and one for Bambu Lab Studio. They handle text very differently from each other.

Here's the instructions:

  • Download and open the good 3MF file for the slicer you choose. I am unable to provide them as a profile since MakerWorld believes the plate to be empty.
  • Go to Objects to change parameters by object.
  • First, select "text_shape" for top or bottom. Then, select the text tool to edit the text. Change, move, or resize font needed.
  • Delete “G Logo” if you are not a geocacher!
  • Depending on the size of your plate, you may need to rotate the objects placed on it. So select each object, then do a 45 degrees rotation.
  • Click on the "Arrange" button to properly position the parts on the plate. I do not recommend using “Auto rotate…”.

DON'T ROTATE BEFORE CHANGING TEXT! Oraslicer is ok if you change text after rotation, but moving text is a nightmare. It's impossible in Bambu Lab Studio to change text after a rotation. May be in a future version, but not now.

If you don't have AMS or a multi-color system, don't forget to add a pause for filament change. Normally, it is at layer #16, but its exact location depends on your configuration.
