3D model description

After the great success of the first dual car stand, the successor is finally here.

This new modular car stand can hold 1:10 on/offroad RC cars as well as 1:8 offroad cars and is easy to modify thanks to its design.

I am continuously developing it further. Plans include a holder for power supply units and chargers, shelves for tools and the option of accommodating a QI charging pad for remote controls etc.

These extensions will appear here, no further purchase is necessary.

Info about the structure:

  1. there are (currently) two different bases: one without storage and one with storage.

  2. 2 L-stands must be printed, these are pushed into the grooves of the baseplate

  3. the hangers are available in the variants "offset" and "standard". "Offset" is required for the lowest setting and can provide height at the top. "Standard" is required to create a third level in the middle. Then even 3 touring car chassis can be placed.

-> for 1/8 buggies, I recommend omitting the lower boom and using the "offset" for the top setting.

  1. two short pins and one long connector per level MUST be used for each setting. The connectors provide stability for the entire carstand, while the pins provide stability for the respective levels.

IMPORTANT: the L-stands protrude slightly above the underside of the base, allowing the Carstand to stand on the L-stands. This is an intentional feature: the L-stands self-align under load and give the structure stability. Felt pads or rubber pads can be attached to the corners of the base to compensate for this.

It is important that all parts are properly deburred.

After the great success of the first Dual Carstand, the successor is finally here.

This new modular Carstand can hold both 1:10 On-/Offroad RC Cars and 1:8 Offroad cars, and is easy to modify due to its design. I am continuously developing it.

Planned features include a holder for power supplies and chargers, shelves for tools, and the ability to accommodate a QI charging pad for remote controls, etc. These expansions will be available here, no additional purchase necessary.

Assembly information:

  1. there are currently two different bases: one "massive" and one with a rounded tray.

  2. two L-stands need to be printed and inserted into the grooves of the baseplate.

  3. the hangers come in "offset" and "standard" variants. "Offset" is needed for the lowest setting and can provide height adjustment upwards. "Standard" is needed to create a third level in the middle. This allows for the placement of even 3 touring car chassis.

-> For 1/8 buggies, I recommend omitting the lower Hanger and using the "offset" for the top setting.

  1. for each setting, two short pins and a long connector per level must be used. The connectors provide stability throughout the Carstand, while the pins provide stability for each level.

IMPORTANT: the L-stands protrude slightly beyond the underside of the base, allowing the car stand to rest on the L-stands. This is an intentional feature: the L-stands self-align under load, providing stability to the structure. Felt pads or rubber pads can be attached to the corners of the base for balance. It is important to ensure that all parts are deburred cleanly.
