Usage:
- Fill the base' with water so that all squares are equal.
- Place your filled seed tray on top of the base
- Place the pyramid lid on top of the seed tray ensuring it is fully seated in the groove
Extra Info:
- The ‘Base’ is sliced in a way that should be water tight (up to 6mm high) - So far all of my tests have held water fine.
- Do not over fill the base with water as this will make a mess when adding the seed tray.
- Place the seed starter kit on a level surface. This is crucial for the watering system to function correctly.
- The translucent pyramid lid in the photo examples was printed in clear PETG - Plate 2 is set up for this, so please edit the filament type if you are using a different material.
- The seed trays and the pyramid lid are designed to be no more than 2 walls thick. This allows light to penetrate the pyramid and also helps with the removal of the root block, as the individual pots can be deformed with a squeeze.
- Printing the pyramid with a brim is essential as the 1st layer contact area is very small and will try to warp without one.
- Clean up any brim material left on the pyramid with a de-burr tool or sharp craft knife. This edge needs to be clean in order to fit in the slot located in the seed tray.
- Ignore the ‘floating regions’ warning in Bambu Studio. This is purely related the tray slot which will bridge, absolutely fine.
