3D model description

Work in Progress!!

UPDATE 2024-04-12!

  1. V2 i found a rubbing point on the pan from the wheels at a turn radius of 360mm (Märklin K, normal cirle 1 )
  2. The pan is updated with a lower bottom curve to prevent that and might be possible for industry radius (not tested yet)

Initial Upload 2024-03-22

  1. V1 is the baseline I uploaded on march 22nd.

For my Modelrailroad I started to design the FAMMRR121 from KirunaWagon, as well known as Helix Dumper, they are designed for continous unloading by driving through a helix (will be uploaded as seperate Model).

so far I only have the the Bogies, the Frame, the Pan and the NEM 362 slot.
Minimum Radius tested is 450mm so far.

I will update the model constantly until I'm finished and add more details like the brake cylinders and some tubing.
Since i have another job i could not promise when it will be done
maybe you need to drill the wheel bearing in the bogies a bit and add some oil

Pins for the couplers are flush at the top and secured with a drop of superglue
from the bottomside add a drop of oil

ballbearing pin needs to be secured with a drop of glue.

Install the bogies with a drop of oil

Important!
several changes were made to adjust the Model for Modeltrains
- NEM slot is lower than the original
- model is a bit wider for stability and added the parts for the helix (it will need a guide to prevent the wagon from tiping while unloading)

you will need
- 4 axles letght 24.4mm / diameter 10.4mm (for example Märklin 700580)
- 2 NEM 362 couplings (for example 7203)
- 4 small springs to keep the coulping aligned (just startet testing with Märklin 7194)
- Small Ballbearing (AD 7mm / ID 3mm / width 3mm)
- 4 small pieces of 1.2mm wire for the hinge of the pan + 4 larger for the springs

For printing:
- 4x Axle_KirunaWagon_HD is only if you want a standing Model, i did not test it !
- 2x NEM362_KirunaWagon_HD
- 2x Pin_NEM_KirunaWagon_HD
- 1x Pan_KirunaWagon_HD
- 1x Ballbearing_pin_KirunaWagon_HD
- 1x Frame_KirunaWagon_HD
- 2x Bogie_Kirunawagon_HD

Later I will make a build video or a pdf with instructions.

Fell free to write me if you found errors or have questions i will answer them as soon as possible.

Later (after i finished the Helix) I will and a static model with finer details.

3D printing settings

I printed the parts with a 0.05mm Layerheight
a mix of 80% ABS like and 20% Monocure Flex 100 to make the Printed Parts stronger
