Description

While playing around on Craiyon.com I generated an eerie but beautiful skeletal-like victorian styled gothic cameo that really drew me. Initially, I attemped to make it into earrings, but I kept losing the detail. I set it aside until recently when I started doing light switch covers and thought this would be perfect for that! Luckily putting the switch cutouts in place did not detract (too much) from the image.

After messing around with the image repeatedly in photoshop to break it into parts, I ran my parts through HueForge. I decided to split the frame from the cameo was so I could get the custom colors I wanted. The Cameo ended up being 5 colors, the frame 3, and the back border just one.

The three pieces need to be printed separately and then assembled aferwards. I used a clear non expanding gorilla glue, but you can use something else if you are better at applying glue than me and don't make a mess. When you clamp the pieces together, make sure to protect your piece. I didn't the first time and got red residue on my piece from the clamps.

Once it is done, you can carefully put it up on your switch! The back border helps hold it away from the switch and wall.

Color Changes Cameo:

Layers 1 - 9 : Black

Layers 10 - 12 : Silver MatterHackers

Layers 13 - 16 : Pastel Peanut (Polymaker PolyTerra Matte)

Layers 17 - 23 : Bone White (Inland)

Layers 24 - top : White

Color Changes Frame:

Layers 1 - 19 : Black

Layers 20 - 27 : Antique Gold CC3D Silk Antique Gold

Layers 28 - Top : Shiny Gold FF SUNSENKJ Silk Gold

The frame and cameo are done with the .08mm settings while the back border can be done with normal settings.

Ironing for frame and came, but not needed for back border.

The downloadable STL and the Print profile design doesn't actually have holes in it for the switches as they are added in the Slicer, so if you don't want the holes, you can delete out the switch holes out in the print profile and you'll be left with just the cameo.
