Garbage bag

A garbage bag is a plastic bag intended to contain waste generated by daily human activity.

To keep it open and stable, the garbage bag is placed in a rigid, uncovered container, adjusting the ends to its sides. In homes, the bag is placed in the garbage can that is placed in the kitchen under the sink as this is where the greatest amount of waste is generated. Remains collected from other containers such as trash cans and ashtrays are also deposited in the trash can.

The collection of garbage bags in a building is entrusted to the cleaning staff, which they do at the end of the day shortly before the truck passes by.

The garbage bag has traditionally been preferably dark colors: black, gray or navy blue. However, the implementation of selective garbage collection has promoted the marketing of containers in various colors - yellow, blue, white, etc. - aimed at individualizing the types of waste.
