Description

Summary

I know what you're going to say, how many can already model the same thing. But believe me, when I needed a convenient holder for hex keys, I couldn't find it. All of them were either bulky, or the keys did not hold well in the sockets or it was inconvenient to take them out. But now all the shortcomings have been eliminated. And if you print out my model, then make sure that your keys have never been so comfortable and compact.

Unfortunately, I do not have keys with imperial dimensions on my hands. Therefore, I have no way to check the density of their planting in the nests. I took the imperial sizes from other models. They correspond to 3/8, 5/16, 1/4, 7/32, 3/16, 5/32, 9/64, 7/64, 3/32, 5/64. I attach all the source files, where it will be easy to adjust the dimensions if I made a mistake.

If the hinge does not open after printing, you can use the RMX- files and print with support, so that you can then assemble it using the M3 x 30 screw and the M3 nut.

So, what we have:

  • Compact size (clamshell).
  • O-rings so that the keys fit tightly into the sockets.
  • Open it like a book to conveniently take the keys in the open position.
  • Locking lump for the closed position.
  • A ring to hang on a nail.
  • Print-In-Place without support.
