Follow the instructions for planting.

1. Keep the bone clean. When you eat this superfood, be careful not to cut it. Wash it to remove any meat remains that may be attached to it.
2. Identify its parts. Although the bone appears spherical, it is key to know which is the upper part, —since the sprout will grow from it—, and which is the lower part, from which the root will sprout. The slightly pointed area is the upper one.
3. Put the bone inside the sprouting support and place it inside a glass.
4. Add water until it covers half of the avocado pit.
5. Put the glass in a place with direct sun and avoid cold spaces. Change the water every two days to keep it clean and fresh. The roots and stem should begin to sprout in two to six weeks. If nothing happens in a month or so, throw it away and try a new seed.
6. When the stem is about 15 cm (3-4 weeks old), cut it in half and leave it approx. in 7 cm (even if it hurts, but it is about stimulating the roots).
7. When the roots are thicker and the stem has leaves again, plant the seed in a pot. Leave it sticking out of the ground as it was in the glass. Place the pot in bright, indirect light. Water carefully. The soil must remain moist, but not soggy.
8. You'll know you're overwatering if the leaves start to turn yellow and droop. If this happens, stop watering and allow the soil to dry out before watering again.
