The parts can snap together, but I secured it all with superglue just to be sure.

The design is made to work with a normal lamp socket like the ones you can get in ikea.

Wanted to experiment with an easier way to bend the leaves and used the "au bain marie" method to prevent overheating. Put a layer of water in a large pan and place a smaller pan inside. Put it on a stove and heat it up. It doesn't need to boil to do it's job.
Place on or two leaves on the bottom of the smaller pan and wait till it gets soft. Use a large set of tweezers or similar to pick up a leaf by its "twig".
Now bend and manipulate it slightly with your fingers, it cools down quickly.
