3D printer file info

3D model description

A 1:1 digital scan of the skull of Herrerasaurus, a basal dinosaur from the late Triassic (230 MYA) Brazil. The file was created by segmenting CT scan information available at digimorph.org. The file as is can fit within a standard Ender 3 print volume. I recommend splitting the file for easier printing. If I do that myself in the future I will re-upload the files.

3D printing settings

For an FDM Printer with PLA: 40 mm/s, supports on, I recommend everywhere though you might be able to get away with build plate only. Infill 10-20% w/ lightning infill pattern for best result.

I uploaded a G-code with the printer settings I usually use when printing fossils. If you choose to use it, you will need 236g of PLA and print time is approximately 3 days 3 hours. Supports are build-plate only and I have not printed with this g-code so I cannot guarantee a perfect print if you use it, but the option is here.
