3D model description

"I have several [Kenny Croes designs] and love the details, and ease of printing." - Dave Allen, Admin-WORLDVENTS/Ventriloquists Facebook Group

"I'm very satisfied with "Cheeky" STL file that I purchased off Cults to 3d print. It was easy to download... I would recommend to anyone to use any of Kenny's designs. I look forward to using more of his designs in the near future." - Robert Mitchell

This is a ventriloquist dummy character called CHEEKY 2024. He is designed to be that mischievous boy character in the tradition of Jerry Mahoney and Danny O'Day.

CHEEKY 2024 can be 3D printed and assembled to create a full-size ventriloquist figure. The components include a head, jaw, eye tray, trap door, a rounded neck transition with a 1-inch hole, and another transition with a 1.25-inch hole to accommodate a control stick. In addition, there are holes and guides to make the installation of animation mechanics much easier, including moving jaw, moving eyes, and moving eyebrows. The holes in the cheeks and jaw will line up

The head is designed for 1.5" eyes. Eyes are not included, but Braylu Creations (www.braylu.com) is an excellent source for 1.5-inch eyes.

The holes were sized for 3/32" brass rods and 1/8" brass tubes. If you'd prefer to use heavier brass stock, use the holes as guides.

IF YOU WOULD LIKE SOMEONE ELSE TO PRINT:
If you'd prefer to have someone else print the parts for you, I suggest you contact RED MONGOOSE, a professional 3D printing company that has printed my dummy designs several times. Here's the link: https://www.facebook.com/RedMongoosePrints

FINISHING TIPS:
This will not be a paint-ready 3D print, ready to assemble.
BUT IT'S AN EXCELLENT HEAD-START!

There may be a few rough spots (like just under the nose) that may need putty and light sanding. Use MagicSculpt, Free Air, or a putty of your choice. To hide the 3D-print lines, use Bondo Gray Primer and Filler. Apply 3 or 4 coats with light sanding between each coat. If you know of something better/quicker, go for it.

If you run into any issues, please let me know. - Kenny

3D printing settings

The head measures x-142mm/y-114mm/z-179mm.

MATERIALS:
PLA can be used, though its vulnerability to heat and humidity can affect a print's durability.

For durability, PETG is recommended.

ABS or ASA are also quite durable, though some have found them more challenging to work with on a 3D printer.
