Description

Fidget Toy - Click Wheel

The first of a series of fidget cubes i plan to make, mainly to come up with interesting mechanisms.

 

The Cog rests agains the spring which has a nice satisfying click and resistance.

Scale the spring up or down if you have an issue with it being too tight or loose.

Remove the spring for a free wheeling cog.

 

Simple print and assembly, everything is push fit without the need for glue.

 

Fidget Series:

  1. Click Wheel
  2. DPAD Button

0.2mm layer, 3 walls, 10% infill
Prints well (a1 mini with eSun filament) but it only clicks for 20 mins or so before freely rotating. Flipped the components to get a bit longer but before long it's just spinning again

It shouldn't wear that quickly my original test model is still going, I would advise looking at calibrating the flow rate from those pictures

This showed up when printing for some reason. I just cut it off and it worked fine

Scale up the piece called spring, it should push against the case when the wheel is installed
