Description

🇫🇷 Bienvenue à Paris!

Welcome to Paris!

The Eiffel Tower in Paris has become a timeless symbol of romanticism and "la vie en rose"

We made it with considerations for FDM miniature printing, so it should be easy to print and have great details, even with regular nozzle setups and printed small.

It is a wrought-iron lattice tower, named after the engineer Gustave Eiffel, whose company designed and built the tower, built from 1887 to 1889 for Paris' World Fair. It was the tallest structure in the world at 330 m, until the completion of the Chrysler Building in New York City in 1930 (from Wikipedia).

Printing Tips

Suggested parameters:

For better details, print slow, such as 20mm/s for outer perimeters.
Fine-tune retraction to avoid stringing.
Perimeters: 2
Top layers: 3
Infill: as low as 12%

No supports needed, as the arches support themselves and chamfers have been added.

Although if you want perfectly clean surfaces, you may use supports.

Brim is recommended if you experience adhesion problems with the four legs before they connect by the arches.

Worked perfectly! Went with small brim at feet for good adhesion. Did 6 on one plate in copper brown PLA from Bambu.

Slowed down printing as suggested and used a brim around each “foot”. Printed well with no issues.

the way the insides of the tower does have infill make it easy to print, no adhesion problems, just need to adjust the supports so it doesnt print a support to the crown of the tower
