Oreo Clock!
Remixed the Oreo face from https://makerworld.com/en/models/85828#profileId-91746 (Oreo LED Lamp Kit)
I reduced some layers and resized it to fit the clock components I got from AliExpress.
The Oreo design has cylinders exactly where we need for the 12 hour indicators which I colored white.
Clock dimensions: 200mm wide and 5mm thick
Center hole was created by adding a cylinder primitive and making it a negative part. 8mm wide.
Right click and “center” the components to perfectly align the hole in the center.
Clock Components:
- I used the quartz movement from https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256805989242453.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.46.21ef1802bG8bvU&gatewayAdapt=glo2usa (Color E, Size A) I didn't use the hands since they arrived bent. I like the movement here since it has a hole in the back that allows it to hang on the wall. Also, the stem part was long enough that allowed me to use the 5mm thick clock that I printed.
- For the hands, I used the hands from https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256804231830442.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.34.21ef1802bG8bvU&gatewayAdapt=glo2usa (luminous pointer B) I didn't like the quartz movement that came with this one since it didn't have a wall mount hole and also the stem was much shallower. I'd have to re-print a much thinner clock to use it. The hands were compatible with the other movement.
- Alternatively, you could also design and print your own hands.
I printed using generic PLA and 0.16 layer height. A larger layer height probably would have been okay too.
