Description

I really love the Retro TV - Nintendo Switch Case that Josh-3D released, but I felt that these items could improve the print:

Retro Stand:

I felt that a Retro TV deserves a Retro Stand. I didn't want to modify the original model to have attachment points, so I will permanetly attach mine with CA Glue.

  • Version 1- Solid Base - Wide:
  • Version 2 - Cutout Base - Wide:
  • Version 3 - Solid Base - Narrow:

Storage Containers:

The original model has a lot of empty space behind the Nintendo Switch, I designed two different boxes to fit into the exisitng space to store game cartridges or other miscellaneous accessories.

  • Switch Game Cartridge Storage - 15 Games Each:
  • Miscellaneous Storage Bin:
  • Mix and match the containers, they fit behind the Nintendo Switch. My bins inserted into the frame that Josh-3D designed:

Cable Grommet:

I didn't like how much space was around the USB C cable exiting the back of the TV, so I designed a cable grommet with a 4.5mm hole through the center that splits into two pieces. This way I can slide the large USB C connector through the original hole, and then insert the two halves of my grommet around the cable for tighter cable retention.

  • Models for 4.5mm, 5mm, 5.5mm, and 6mm hole included, resize if you have a bigger cable:
  • Slides in from inside and has a lip to stop when fully inserted. My grommet inserted into the case that Josh-3D designed:
  • Sits flush with the back of the TV case that Josh-3D designed:

Remixed Buttons:

I have the original Nintendo Switch, not the OLED model:

  • The original Power Button was 0.5mm too short and wouldn't make contact, so I extended it.
  • The original Volume Buttons would rock back and forth and wouldn't consistently make contact with the volume controls. So I flattened the tips, the flat tips also differentiate them from the slightly longer power button.

The original model doesn't actually allow remixing from what I can tell… So if Josh-3D has issue with this I will remove the button files.

Purchased Accessories:

I also purchased these accessories and can confirm that they work with this print. These are not sponsored or affiliate links:

  • Right Angle USB C Adapter - I believe this is the same model used in Josh-3D's images. I probably won't use this though.
  • Right Angle Braided USB C Extension Cord - I purposely bought an extension cord so I can either plug it into a wall charger with a male/male cable, or I can plug it into a USB C Dock and use it with my actual television.
  • USB C Dock - I will leave this connected to my actual television, and when I want to play games on the big screen i just have to plug in the USB C Extension Cord.
