Description

Model pretty much speaks for itself doesn't it :-)

Got tired of all the different complex models out there, so decided to do my own.

Model doesn't need supports. 63Gram of filament.

Pull the spool from the stand ( reverse of what you did when putting it togehter ).

Remove the original clamps, slide on the centerring, orient the threaded pieces correct “there is notches to align”.

press in place, you'll hear a loud snap, ( all is good ) mount the spool and youre off to go.

Orange and green thread to counteract the rotation of the spool.

Orange will air on its own model so people can choose.

Studs will be public also ( but with a thread that fits my models to come )

Added a Longer threaded Part in the RAW section :
BOTH Orange and green extended thread parts from the RAW section have been printtestet without support and are Good to go.

Brilliant design, good tolerances, practically works. Happily diced the old spring fingers, even with the genuine spools they were awkward getting on and off. Fitting the thread bars was hard initially until I worked out to do the cone side before the top clip. Printed in PETG as I had the colours there, turned out good.

Looking NICE, glad you like it. :-) Can be a little messy to take off. If you forget the revesed threading and tighten it first ( but that's where the hole for the allen key comes in handy ) havn't had any unreadble spools " RFID" yet so distance should be good.

Ahhh the hole had me scratching my head lol. Good to know though, I am finding it’s working fine and seem find a tension before slipping.

Nice design, everything fit perfect. One suggestion though; make the threads about a 1/2 inch deeper for Creality spools, for some reason they made the center narrower than the rest of the spool.
