Here, I present my Monkey Buddha 🐒 and the story of the day....

to be read while enjoying some bananas!

Once upon a time, in a lush forest bathed in morning sunshine, there lived a mischievous monkey named Koko. Koko lived peacefully in the trees, swinging from branch to branch with agility. One day, while resting under a banana tree laden with ripe fruit, he spotted something strange in the distance.

Under a majestic tree, seated in meditation, stood a statue of Buddha. Intrigued, Koko approached slowly, observing with curiosity the serenity emanating from the statue. At its feet were bananas offered as an offering.

The hungry monkey couldn't resist the temptation of the juicy bananas. He grabbed one and began to taste it greedily. Suddenly, a noise sounded behind him. Koko turned abruptly to discover that the Buddha statue had come to life and was gazing benevolently at him.

"Why are you taking what doesn't belong to you, little monkey?" the statue asked in a gentle voice. Koko, surprised, immediately apologized and explained that he had been tempted by hunger.

Buddha smiled and said to him, "Bananas can be shared, my friend. Come, sit with me and let us share this meal together." Touched by Buddha's generosity, Koko humbly sat down and shared the bananas with his new friend.

From that day on, Koko regularly visited the tree where the Buddha statue stood. Together, they shared moments of peace and wisdom, under the gentle forest sun, surrounded by banana trees laden with fruit. And so the friendship between a mischievous monkey and a Buddha statue became a legend told throughout the forest.
