3D model description

A model of the Communicator from Enterprise. It is static, except for the hinged lid. It is meant to be glued together. See pic for an exploded view for assembly.

The button is static, but there's a slight gap if you want to sand the edges so it moves freely and add some foam behind it so it springs back when pressed.

For the hinge you can use a piece of filament or a 1.5mm metal rod.

A PDF graphic for the screen is included.

Fair warning This is a small device so resin or very fine 3D printing is necessary to get a nice end result. I've printed this on a Bambu X1 Carbon at 0.16 and it came out pretty nice. I've also printed an earlier version in resin with no real issues; just plan your supports with the visible surface in mind.

This is NOT the version with a torsion spring mechanism. That needs a redesign and I'm hanging on to that for myself.

This is for personal non-commerical use.
