Read Carefully

This fully- 3D printed drone accessory allows you to use your DJI Mini 2 to take your line out further than what you could ever cast.
Being simple and electronic-free, operation is as simple as:
Make a loop in your line, near your bait and sinker.
Gently place onto the hook of the airborne drone.
Release the bail on the reel.
Fly out to your designated drop-spot.
Flick the bail back over.
Turn the drone around and slowly fly backwards.
Fly the drone back in and get ready for the biggest land-based fish of your life!

Some Notes:
!!USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!! Even though I have thoroughly tested this concept, the operation will vary between users; depending on environmental conditions, print quality, etc.
I am not responsible if your drone sinks in the ocean!
I don't mean this in a rude way!
I strongly encourage testing in a low risk area to ensure it suits your application safely.

Don't overtighten threads- 3D printed threads aren't invincible! They only need to be tight enough to stop it slipping backwards while in transit.

Tighten threads evenly- this reduces the chance of one bolts being over-stressed!

I used some electrical tape to cover the area where the top clip sits to avoid any major scratches- option but helps keeping nasty scratches from being embedded into your drone.

I highly recommend hand launching & catching your drone. To maximise the payload capacity, I decided not to incorporate landing gear. I assume you will be using this on the beach anyways so landing in the sand isn't an option regardless of having the fishing gear attached.

!!Make sure to check local regulations!! In some areas, drone's have a weight limit on their total combined mass. Also remember to check for laws regarding whether or not drone fishing is legal in your location.

I tried to shorten this as much as I could while still including essential information.

3D printing settings

Overall: 0.16mm Layer heights (For Optimal Strength)
Split into object if possible

Infill: Top and Bottom Clip- 25% Rectilinear
Bolts- 100% Rectilinear
Supports- Top and Bottom Clip: Auto Tree supports w/ a threshold angle of 25 degrees.
Brim- Bolts: Outside brim only w/ a width of 5mm

Highly recommend printing in PETG for UV resistance and Minor Flexing.
Depending on your printer, thread tolerances may need to be adjusted. To do this, use the STL. file included.
