Made in 1938 .22 Long rifle with a 6.75" barrel.
Rare Model B "Trapper's & Target Pistol", second series,[Mod.B Leaflet] manufactured circa 1945 by the High Standard Manufacturing Company in New Haven, Connecticut.

This semi-automatic pistol, caliber 22lr, owes to the quality of its manufacture and its extreme reliability to have been chosen by the OSS first then by the CIA as an accompaniment weapon in enemy territory.
