I already have the original accessories, what else do I need this model for?

1.In case the original rotary shaft is damaged, you can print one yourself and it will not affect your normal use of the AMS lite.
万一原装的回转轴损坏,你可以自己打印一个,不会影响你对AMS lite的正常使用。

2.This model can be optionally fitted with multiple sizes of Claw bushing and Threaded bushing to fit most filament spools(It is no longer limited to a diameter of 53~58mm).

这个模型可以选装多尺寸的爪套和螺纹套,能适配绝大多数料盘(不再局限于53~58mm)。

3.The cost of owning it is low, less than the price of half a paw in the original accessories(BambuLab please don't mind).

Because it is necessary to adapt the base axis of green and orange on the AMS lite, the corresponding printing configuration is also green and orange, the 3mf file is configured with color, and the shaft cover is also marked with letters, so don't make a mistake.

因为需要适配AMS lite上绿色和橙色两种颜色的基轴,对应的打印配置也有绿色和橙色两种,3mf文件配置了颜色,且轴盖上也标注了字母,千万不要装错了。

 

The correspondence between the letters and colors on the shaft cover(轴盖上的字母及颜色对应关系):

G = Green shaft(绿色轴) = 1,3 slot(槽位)

O =Orange shaft(橙色轴) = 2,4 slot(槽位)

 

As the version is updated, the appearance of some parts of the model will change accordingly, and the pictures on the page are for reference only.

The function of this model depends on the friction and resilience of the filament, so there will be some differences in the performance of the model printed with different filaments, the main accessories that determine the rewinding angle are the round lid at the bottom of the central shaft and the resistance ring, and the experimental model uses PolyLite (logo color) for printing and testing.
By default, the 3-blade resistance ring can achieve satisfactory results, and the standard for suitable resistance is that when the shaft bushing is rotated, the resistance ring begins to rotate when the spiral ring of the Inner bushing is basically compressed.
If the resistance is too small, you can choose to print the resistance ring of more blades.
If the resistance is too high, the resistance blades can be cut to reduce the resistance.
The resistance of the newly printed accessories is relatively large, so it is recommended to manually turn it a few times to make it run in to a relatively stable state before starting to use it officially.
Finally, it is recommended not to use filament silk screen printing base covers and resistance rings that are too smooth or too brittle (ordinary PLA is fine).
本模型的功能实现依靠耗材丝的摩擦力及回弹力,所以不同耗材打印的模型表现会有一些差异,决定回卷角度的主要配件为中心轴底部圆盖和阻力圈,实验模型采用的是PolyLite(标志颜色)进行打印和测试。
默认情况下3叶阻力圈即可实现满意效果,阻力合适的标准表现为转动轴套时,内轴套的螺旋圈基本压缩完全时阻力圈开始转动。
如果阻力过小可以选择打印更多叶片的阻力圈。
如果阻力过大可以剪掉阻力叶片来降低阻力。
新打印的配件阻力相对较大,建议手动转几圈使其磨合到相对稳定的状态后再开始正式使用。
最后建议不要使用过于光滑或者过于脆的耗材丝打印基盖和阻力圈(普通PLA就行)。

Problems with use(使用问题):

Does it have an impact on print quality(是否对打印质量产生影响):

After a period of use and testing, I didn't find any noticeable effects, at least I didn't feel it obviously.If you're concerned about this, you can manually disable the rewind function when printing.

经过我一段时间的使用和测试,没有发现有明显的影响,至少我没有明显感觉出来。如果你担心这个,在打印时可以手动停用回卷功能。

Will it put a large burden on AMS lite and extruder(是否会对AMS lite及挤出机带来较大负担):

The tension of the extruder is so strong that it can even break the filaments directly, so this burden on the rewinding spool holder should not be a problem (Moreover, there is also a moment amplification effect of the spool radius), at least in my limited tests,The functionality of the AMS lite is also working fine.

挤出机的拉力是很强大的,甚至能将耗材丝直接拉断,所以回卷架的这点负担应该不成问题(而且还有料盘半径的力矩放大作用存在),至少在我有限的测试中一切都是正常,AMS lite的功能也一切正常。

Disabling the rewind feature(停用回卷功能):
use your thumb against the shaft cover, and pull the Claw bushing or Threaded bushing outward by 10 mm (Don't worry about slipping, there is also a layer of protective buckle at this time)
用拇指顶住轴盖,将抓套或螺纹套向外拉出10毫米即可(不用担心滑落,此时还有一层保护卡扣存在)


Adjust the rewind angle(调节回卷角度):
Adjust the amount of resistance, as described in the special instructions
调整阻力大小即可,见特别说明中的描述
Filament spool installation and replacement(耗材料盘的安装与更换):

The Claw bushing or threaded bushing can be removed and the spool can be installed before inserting the AMS lite (recommended), or it can be installed directly

可以把爪套或螺纹套取下后安装好料盘再装入AMS lite(推荐),也可以直接安装

Known issues(已知问题):

1.There will be a slight noise during use.
使用中会有很轻微的噪音。

2.The space is increased and it is 23 mm longer than the original shaft.

空间占用增加,比原装轴长了23毫米。
3.After using the resistance ring for a period of time, the resistance will become smaller to a certain extent, because the grinding is smooth, and the rewinding angle will be reduced.
阻力圈在使用一段时间后阻力会一定程度的变小,因为磨光滑了,回卷角度会缩小。
4.Claw bushing of various sizes are tight when installed in spool that support the lower limit of size, and require force to be loaded.
各种规格的爪套,安装在其支持尺寸下限的料盘时会比较紧,需要用力才能装入。

Installation instructions(安装说明):

Special note: Pay attention to the color of the shaft and before the installation begins, insert the central shaft into the Inner bushing to test whether the rotation is smooth, if not, dispose of the uneven place or apply vaseline to make the rotation smooth(Note that warping can also cause stuttering when printing the central shaft).

特别注意:注意轴的颜色,且在安装开始前,请将中心轴插入内轴套中,测试旋转是否顺滑,如果不顺畅请处理掉不平的地方或抹凡士林使之旋转顺滑。

Special note: Step 8 needs to be rotated to align the buckle at the bottom!

This is a great way to make it easier to load your spools without the worry of different size holes. I did not use the spider looking part but rather printed several of the screw ones. only problem I had is rolls did not stay on during the print and started to come off a bit. I modified the key pins for orange and green with a screw and created a nut to hold the roll on. now it works perfectly for me. designer can feel free to add this change to their design if the want to so everyone could benefit.

Thank you for your comment, I looked at the picture you uploaded, you are using a threaded bushing, but the picture shows that you did not install the threaded bushing in place, the threaded bushing can also be pushed in until the bottom, you can take a closer look at the picture I sent out or observe the shape of the bottom of the threaded bushing, after pushing to the bottom, it can be stuck (two small blades by the top shaft cover), and the gap is less than 1 mm, so please try it again as I said :)

although a great idea that is better than the OEM equipment I find this just too fragive and prefer the screw in type as the alternative method

At present, the diameter of the spool hole is still relatively chaotic, and with the gradual increase of BambuLab's market share, the Filaments manufacturer will gradually unify the spool hole to about 55mm. So my original design intention was to replicate the original, and the threaded bushing existed as an extended support, so the Claw bushing was still used in the base kit. Also, what exactly do you mean by "just too fragive"? And thank you Boots:)
