3D model description

Medieval short sword, which can be used for fantasy or medieval cosplay.

  • The blade only is 52cm long, perfect for carrying it in the back.
  • The whole sword is 74cm long
  • Optimized for building volume of 19x19x19 (or more)
  • No support needed, slots have triangular roofs

Instructions for printing

  1. Print 2 pieces of HANDLE flat
  2. Glue them together
  3. Print all blade parts standing and slot/glue them together
  4. Slot the blade into the handle
  5. Print 2 flat pieces of Pommel and glue them together

Additional advices

I always put some fake leather on the handle to give it a better look.

For painting, I advice you to apply several layers of primer/filler, then sand it with a 400 sanding-paper until the layer lines disapears. Paint it black entirely, then "dry paint" the different parts using metalic acrylic colors.

Important Notices

  • Due to some export settings, the parts might look super tiny on the print bed. In this case, simply scale them up 1000%
  • If some blade parts are hard to slot, use a Dremel on the edge, especially at the base.
