3D model description

General Yi Sun-sin's turtle ship was a 16th-century Korean warship from the late Joseon Dynasty. It was one of the ships General Yi Sun-sin used to fight the Japanese invasion. It was named the turtle ship because of its distinctive appearance, which resembled a turtle.

During the Imjin War, which took place from 1592 to 1598, General Yi Sun-sin used turtle ships effectively in various naval battles. Turtle ships were larger and more powerful than traditional Korean warships, and were protected by thick iron plates. They were also equipped with cannons, arrow launchers, and muskets, giving them great firepower.

Throughout the Imjin War (a war between the Korean and Qing dynasties against Japan), General Yi Sun-sin used turtle ships to achieve several victories. In the famous Battle of Noryang in 1597, the turtle ships played a crucial role in defeating smaller Japanese warships, helping to defend the country. These historic warships symbolize the pinnacle of Joseon naval power and remain a source of pride in Korean history.
