O' RIDGE | Wall Light E14 & E27

Give your space a modern mid-century vibe with this fast-print wall light!

This design also comes in floor lamp version. Check out the O' RIDGE Floor Lamp.

The shade and base are each made of two thin shells that join at the top and bottom, casting a warm & soft glow. They both print very fast with the right settings listed below. The shade takes about 3h, and the stand less than 2h.

This lamp works for both E27 and E14 socket screw thanks to a custom adapter you can easily clip on (STL file provided).

You can get the power cords from Amazon here:
 For Europe: E27 cord:  https://amzn.to/3OVrZjK
 E14 cord:  https://amzn.to/3TchBqs For the US: E26/E27 cord:  https://amzn.to/3V5VYJB

To fix the lamp on the wall, print 2 of the round brackets and screw them on the wall with standard #10 x 1-1/2" screws and anchors. The screw hole has a diameter of 6mm. And the head diameter can be up to 10mm. The drilling distance between the 2 screws is 152mm.

Happy printing!

3D PRINT SETTTINGS

For the print to be fast enough and the shade transparent enough, refer to the settings guidelines below.

It's recommended to use PETG for the shade, which has a nice light diffusion without adding too much colour to the glow. PLA tends to make the glow very yellow.

SHADE: The shade prints in standard mode, not vase mode, but it needs some particular settings so the shell stays empty and the wall thickness is the same all over. Wall line count: 2 (no more!) top layers: 3 (and only 3! or else you will get accidental extra wall lines here and there) Bottom layers: 3 Resolution: 0.2mm Build adhesion type: None Supports: None Infill: None (0%)

BASE/STAND: The base must be printed upside-down, so with the round face for the E27 / E14 socket flat on the printing bed. Need some infill just in the mounting bracket but nowhere else. Infill: 40% Infill Support: On (go to avanced settings to activate it) Infill Overhang Angle: 80% (so you will "only" have infills inside the middle bracket, but not in the rest of the volume) Wall line count: 2 (no need for more) top layers: 3 (and only 3! or else you will get accidental extra wall lines here and there) Bottom layers: 4 Resolution: 0.2mm Build adhesion type: None Supports: None
