3D model description

2 blade ventilated spinner for new 3DLabprint P-51D Mustang LW series 1.4m:

Motor mounts printed in PLA or PETG do not always withstand the heat of the motor. Insufficient ventilation with a typical closed spinner causes the brushless motor housing to overheat, transmitting all that heat to its printed mount. The screws loosen, the mount becomes deformed and can sometimes partially melt.

After several tests with different ventilated spinners with simple holes, I have been able to verify that the most efficient solution is to direct an air flow directly towards the brushless motor. In this way the heat is transmitted to the pressurized flow of air, the motor is cooled, the mount is cooled, and the higher the speed of the plane, the greater the air flow. It works really well.

IMPORTANT: this spinner must be balanced before being installed on the plane. To do this, you can drill a small hole in the lower part, in the area where the spinner weighs the most. The hole will be hidden and will not affect the operation of the assembly.
