Caiman Patrol Boat

Before a particular company located in Snottingham, England takes offence, this model is my work, in an area you haven't touched in over 30 years, so take your attempts to copyright every word in every language and shove it.

The Caiman is used by brown- and blue-water navies as an interdiction and patrol craft. The sleek craft carries 4 torpedo tubes, which can carry either standard or rocket torpedoes. Sponsons on either side of the hull can mount any of the weapons used by the Sho’vit Heavy Weapons Support Drone, including railguns, burst cannons, plasma rifles, or flamers. The topside turret is typically armed with an 8-pack rack of Hellfire missiles, or 6 Seeking Missiles. Other options include the standard minigun, lascannon, railgun and plasma rifle carried in other Sho’vit vehicles.

The main fire power comes from the forward-mounted deck gun, a ball turret affair that can be armed with quad bolters, quad plasma rifles, a heavy gatling, ion cannon, heavy fusion blaster, or twin-linked autocannons, lascannons, railguns or burst cannons.

Compatibility:

Topside turret weapons are mostly compatible with the chin and dorsal turrets on my other models. Ball turret weapons are compatible with the nose and ventral turret weapons on the Iron Eagle.

Due to the small details on some of the parts, I recommend using a resin printer. Because it’s a large model, I hollowed out the halves of the hull and the bridge.

Based on the US Navy’s MK V, the Arleigh Burke class destroyer, and the venerable PBR (Patrol Boat, River), I tried to design a small boat designed for special operators. It had to be sleek, relatively small, and of course able to pack a punch (I may have gotten carried away here). This model is “game agnotstic,” meaning you can use it with any 28mm game that suits your fancy. I had 42K and Spectre Operations in mind when I designed it, since those are the two games I play. And yes, rocket torpedoes are a thing.
