Replacement spacers for the Ridley Fenix bike.
Ridley Fenix bicycle spacers are elements that play an important role on the handlebar, absorbing vibrations and ensuring stability while riding. There are several key aspects to consider when printing such blocks.

  1. Material:
    Choose the right 3D printing material that is both durable and flexible. Popular choices include fibers modified with PLA, ABS or elastomer. I printed with PET-G.

  2. 100% filling:
    For prints where high strength is required, 100% infill may be beneficial. However, it is recommended to adjust the printer and material parameters accordingly to avoid deformation or layer problems.

  3. Thickness:
    Determine the appropriate thickness of pads needed depending on the bike's specifications and user preferences. The washers are available here in thicknesses of 15mm, 9mm, 8mm. Other thicknesses will be available in the future.

  4. Pattern and shape:
    The overlays have been designed to perfectly match the Ridley Fenix design. Appropriate profiling and shape will help in their stable installation.

  5. Internal structure:
    In the case of 100% infill, it is important that the internal structure is well planned to avoid problems with build-up, deformation or excessive weight.

  6. Practice tests:
    Once printed, test them on your bike to make sure they meet your expectations in terms of durability, flexibility and functionality.
    These are elements that must be well matched to the bike's specifications, and their solid workmanship affects riding comfort. Printing them yourself takes care, but it can be a rewarding experience, especially if you tailor them to your needs and preferences.
