Description

Designed to securely mount the pastamatic winder. The sides will slide on for a secure fit but I've added 8 x M3 holes on the base so you can add heat-set inserts into the arms. There is also a top hole for hanging up.

p.s excuse the photo quality, my camera is rubbish lol :)

I like the Pastamatic filament respooler, but it seems rather flimsy in use. I was looking for something to help secure it to the table and keep the sides connected and aligned. This does the trick!!

Glad you like it, as soon as I printed mine I knew it needed a base, thanks for the rating

how do you make the connection joints? I would like to learn to make them.

I did it manually in fusion 360, just sketched one joint then copied. Never done it before either and it’s very tight but works. it’s not like they need to come apart again.

Works great. Only tweak I would recommend is to adjust the screw hole near the center on the geared side. The original screws into the dovetail piece on the right side frame. I was able to sink a screw about 1/2 inch to the left to fix it.

Thanks for the feedback, I’ll have a look at it. Got a new wiper design coming which mounts on the bottom.

where can we find the wiper?

Hi, I didn’t release it as it would only last a few spools before needing replacing. worked well but the spools cut into it and created a lot of dust.

While the ability to break down for storage has advantages, mounting the re-spooler to a baseplate not only makes the re-spooler easy to use, but also allows hanging on the wall for storage.

You'd have to take off one side to remove the wipers

for me the p1s printed dovetails are way too big to interlock and the mounting bars were too large

Sorry but must be a printer problem, many others printed just fine.

thanks. I’ll try it again and slice it myself instead of using p1s default.
