Description

This an alternative to my other stand Rotating Earring or Jewelry Stand by Jeff Smith - MakerWorld. Wheras the original stand had arms coming out from the center, this stand has arms with adjustable hooks. The hooks are press fit, but removable if needed. They are pretty strong and don't bend under weight even though they are not overly beefy. In the pictures there are a couple ways to set them in the slots and there are locking plates that snap into place to hold the hooks in place.

Depending on where my wife is doing a show, this allows a flat facing stand that doesn't take up as much room as the purely round stand and also seems to display the smaller dangly stuff more clearly. There are 2 and 4 arm versions in the .3MF.

These pieces are interchangeable with the Rotating Earring or Jewelry Stand linked above so they can be mixed and matched.

Disclaimer: A number of the keychains are of my own design, however, there are a couple hanging there which are gifts for family this Christmas (notably the butterfly) and were only hung to show different keychains.

Update 2/11/2024: Updated post for a snugger fit. Only 1 post now, 175mm long, but the center hole runs all the way through it. The user can use Bambu Studio to shorten or lengthen it as desired.

How do I make this not so wobbly? The stand doesn't really work. Seems the rod is too small to make the top one stand upright.

if it's printing small, increase the size slightly in the slicer. I'm surprised to hear that though, what are you printing with material wise and on what printer?

Hey Jeff, just wanted to say thanks for the model we absolutely love it! We are also having a similar issue to Jay where the poles are quite loose and the whole thing sits at an angle, so will likely need to scale up the poles and reprint. Not sure what Jay printed in but we used eSun PETG on a BL P1S.

Thanks! Another printer said he found the stand wobbly, did you find that to be an issue? The one I printed for me isn't but want to make sure the model isn't screwed up somehow.

It was a bit wobbly but not terrible, I ended up just gluing it so it was stationary.

@Quintin Smith Thanks for getting back to me! I've updated the model, should be a comfortably snug fit now. I've also updated the model so there is only a single post, 175mm tall, that can be sized per a person's requirements in Bambu Slicer. The hole runs all the way through the middle.

Works great for our pop-up events to display our earrings and keychains.
