Fully 3d printed parts. Super smooth. No other hardware needed. The fitting for rods and cap are permanent, you can try to take it apart, but most likely it will break.

So, one day my boss saw the planter pot and she said that would be a great massage thing.

I had to say yes, becasue she is “boss”. so, I combine two stuffs on my design inventory, filament roller for Ender 3 and this planter pot.

And the final outcome is this. Lol

That's how you printed it: or just use my print file. ADD Brim!!!!!!

anyone having the issue that the rods are not strong enough and break when it is dropped on the hard floor?

I did, if the cap was hammered in in an angle. Shear stress will break it easily, especially for silk filament.

more infill, or carefully hammered down in 90degrees angle from top. I just break another two... hammered it while watching moive.

ok, I printed a roller with tpu, only 2 wall loops. but it is insanely tough and real nice to touch with the round dots. now what type of material should I used for the rods? pla petg abs?

petg would be better. normal PLA should work great too. Silk might have stength issue.

Printed this for grandma (apparently fidget toys can be good for people with dementia) Everything went smoothly with designer profile, but I think I reduced the brim width. It works, I'm not sure I get the point of that or why so many people like it. Like... is it a toy ? or a massage thing ? Am I supposed to massage my hand with it ?!? I'm a bit confused as a male that doesn't know massages at all. But, it works and it's reasonably fun to roll in your hand so it does the job I guess. Thanks OP !

I don't know why it called massage, my boss come up the idea and name. She think it helps blood flow on you hand while you playing it.

The idea is cool, model is good. Small improvement, if you cut a slot in the middle like this, the assembly will be easier and it flexes enough to bear the stress.
