In Hong Kong and countries in Southeast Asia, locals visit each other's homes during the Chinese New Year to share blessings and spread happiness. One of the favorite activities among locals during this festive time is to play Mahjong.

The White Dragon in Mahjong is one of the three Dragon tiles, known as the "White Dragon" or "Bak Ban/Bai Ban" (白板) tile. The tile without any markings.

This tile is considered one of the honor tiles and is often used in various combinations to form winning hands in the game. Unlike the suit tiles that represent different suits (bamboo, characters, and circles), the honor tiles don't follow a numerical sequence. Instead, they depict various symbolic images, and the dragons are considered the most powerful among the honor tiles.
