converted My Ender 3 Pro to direct drive via a Microswiss NG, and needed a way to feed filament to my new extruder, as the old system drug the filament across the frame.
There were a lot of complicated possibilities on Thingiverse, but I like simple solutions.
Giving up on other's designs I realized all that I actually needed to do was rotate the factory-supplied spool holder 90 Degrees and use the 2020 Frame and the V-Slots on the top and section facing you via an adapter to support the spool. I then used a bolt 2 washers and a nut to hold the adapter to the frame.
BOM:
Creality Ender 3 Pro Spool Holder (included with machine).
2 V-Slot T-nuts & their associated bolts (included with machine).
Adapter (what you are printing).
1 M4*12 Bolt + 2 M4 Washers + 1 M4 Nut (you have to supply).
All that is needed to install this is to remove your filament holder by loosening the T-nuts in the V-slots and then rotate the holder 90 Degrees and install 1 T-Nut on the top, and then place the other T-nut and bolt into the adapter and place it into the V-Slot of the front face of the machine. Finally, place the M4 Bolt + M4 Washer through the adapter into the filament holder and then a M4 washer and M4 Nut on top and tighten and you are all set.
