Description

The trophy is based on the shape of the FIFA World Cup Trophy.

I have recreated the shape in blender(pictures attached of an early design stage and compared with the final model in red) that it looks roughly like the world cup in a more modern way and with a crystal instead of a globe.

The base has a cracked design. There is also a model with a hole through the trophy that you can install a light inside.

Additional, there is a place for a 60mm LED tealight. To have different materials for the socket and the top of the trophy, you can use filament change at height 57.4mm or you can print the seperate models and glue them together.

For the best effect, the Crystal is made for Vase Mode printing. There are two heights for the crystal. At Vase Mode prints, i recommend to use a bigger line width than the nozzle, e.g. for a 0.4 nozzle up to 0.8 Line width. Just increase the temperature a bit if needed.

I printed it on my CR-10 V2, used Cura for slicing and needed no supports for the crystal, the base and the top!

The Crystal is made of Prusament clear PETG (0.4 nozzle 255°, printbed 90°, retract 5mm and vase mode with 0.6 line width no bottem layers), the top of the trophy is Prusament PLA Blend Viva La Bronze (0.4 nozzle 220°, printbed 55°, 3 perimeters, 5mm retract and lightning infill 10% with 2 connected lines) and the socket is Prusament PLA Marble Grey (0.4 nozzle 230° 0.6 line width, printbed 55°, 3 perimeters, 5mm retract and lightning infill 10% with 2 connected lines).

Assembly: Take the socket and glue the Top to the socket. Then assemble the crystal linear from the top. For the lightning i used a E14 socket and a E14 LED bulb.

Would be happy to see your makes!

We love this trophy. I added some text and a light and this is our new Employee of the Quarter trophy. Thank you so very much for creating this.
