Description

Project revisited!

No changes in the model however i optimized a printing profile for both speed and filament use.

~108 gram vs ~171 gram filament
~3h30m vs ~5h40
(You can get it shorter using sport mode however this will affect the quality of the silk filament)

Water-tight? Can it hold water?

In my case yes, it can be filament dependent so lets take a look what you need to do.
You have to edit your Filament settings in Bambu Studio.

Increase the Flow Ratio, mine is set to 1 from initial 0.98.
Increase nozzle temp, this can be done in the app, on the printer or in the slicer your choice. I can print this silk filament at 215 normally and now i had to bump this up to 235 for reference.

There is no magic number here it will be dependent on the filament you use. And a wild guess you should not run the flow calibration test at the start of the print.

But… There is a better way, you can seal the bottom with wood glue, make sure it gets into the corners too and let it dry can take up to 48 hrs for the corners to get dry. (Get the right kind of glue, here in Sweden It's marked as outdoor that one is water resistant)

Why 0.4mm nozzle?

I have spoken very well of the 0.6mm nozzle, however i have come to a conclusion that using a 0.4mm nozzle with a layer line width of 0.6 works excellent, It's not too thin walls and It's stable while also keeping the filament use lower.

Highly recommended to print using Silk filament.

Original print filament: Addnorth silk PLA.
Filament used on the latest version: eSUN eSilk-PLA Magic (Green-Blue)

Change-log:

Added Printer profile for watertight print. (Have to read the description)

Changed the bottom layer from 3 to 5. (For bottom integrity)
Added a couple of images. (more specifically #2, #3)
Changed nozzle size from 0.6 to 0.4mm. (To optimize speed, filament use)
Changed default line width to 0.62mm. (For stability, structural integrity)

looks amazing!! vase mode is insane, super thin, but works great, looks awesome, and a fast print.
