Description

This is a remix of one of my own designs, Cat stretch.

I reduced the cat mesh to a lower poly count, and then copy rotated them into 3 positions forming a circle, and then rested a nice sized (almost 8" in diameter) dish balanced between their tail and nose. This model should scale well, should it not fit on your printer bed.

Edit: Added separate files for base and bowl for two color printing. Just align both origins if your slicer has that provision and they will be perfect.

Update 10-25-2020 Added cats with base to allow for printing a two color catstretch candy bowl on a single extruder printer (separately).

Notes:

I have already printed out more than one model of this beautiful vase. The difficulties I encountered: at high printing speed, such elements of the model as paws and supports fall off. Therefore, it is necessary to print at low speed until the supports are filled with layers between each other when printing the vase itself, otherwise I specified all the necessary settings in the bambulab profile. Use more shells if you want the bowl to be water tight.

first print looked lovely but printed with a base and skirt also had supports that came from places that were questionable 🤦🏼‍♀️sadly in trying to take the skirt edge off the base the first layer peeled off too making it unsuitable for the present it was made 😢 otherwise a very pretty looking bowl

Dear friend, I have already printed about 10 such vases with different scales and models. Here are my recommendations for high-quality printing: from the first layer to the layer when the printer has already printed the base of the bowl, set the printing speed manually in "silent" mode, then switch to standard mode and work with it until the end of printing the entire model. It is necessary that the supports and paws of the cats do not fall off from the rapid movement of the extruder head. I also advise you to pay attention to the heated table, or rather its temperature and the presence of glue on all printed parts.
