Description

Yet another kind of boardgame trays (to contain game elements like token while playing).

This one :

  • Is parametric (width, height, options activated or not, various radius, walls sizes, …) (source file is provided)
  • Is especially designed for hexagonal shapes (other ones may be worked on if needed)
  • Easy to print (no support needed)
  • Grow as you need : just print / add new bowls over time as needed
  • (optionnaly) Trays can contain some magnet holes for trays to stick in place on the sides (pre-generated files are for 10x1mm magnets)
  • (optionnaly) Trays are somehow (lightly) stackable
  • (optionnaly) Trays can contain some dividers (0, 1 or 2 dividers, leading respectively to 1, 2 or 3 internal areas)

In the files section, you'll find :

  • Some pre-generated “.STL”, with what i'm using on my side (with magnets holes, stackability, and regular / somehow “ideal” or at least “generic” sizes)
  • The corresponding .3MF for Bambu Studio (Bambu Lab X1C, P1S, P1P, …) (just in case)
  • The original source file, as a “.scad” file (to be opened / edited with [OpenSCAD](https://openscad.org/))

About printing.

Nothing special (no support needed), can be printed with any kind of settings regarding infill, number of walls, …

Example of one printing on a Bambu Lab X1C with PETG (less than 2 hours of printing and less than 50g of filament) :

About magnets.

The magnets holes are located on the sides of the trays.

The provided “.STL” files are designed to be used with 10mm x 1mm magnets (foundables on Aliexpress here (6 magnets needed for each tray) - aliexpress link (3€ for 30 magnets) : https://fr.aliexpress.com/item/1005005297582725.html? spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.5.22195e5bA8VrOE&gatewayAdapt=glo2fra

The alignment of magnets has to be like this, in an "North/South alternate way :

About OpenSCAD source file.

Several options are available at the beginning of the file and could/should be self-explanatory (feel free to experiment).

All “basic options” should work flawlessly (to make bigger / smaller bowls, or adjust magnet sizes, and so on).

However not every single possible combination of options is going to work at this time in the .scad - you'll have to try and adjust / adapt (for example dividers may not work with all shapes, and so on).
