Description

Create your BaBo organizer! A system created to store them all!

Description:

This is the BaBo duo riser modul. This riser can be mounted under the BaBo duo modules to allow better visibility and the top glass can be stored while printing PLA. It also offers an adapter for the LED Lamp Kit 001 to improve the lighting when working, there is also the option of installing LED strips up to a width of 12mm if you prefer them. Also a spool holder is available for the honeycomb version.

Please do not use the LED lamps during the lidar calibration process, it may distort the results.

It is only compatible with the [BaBo duo] modules and not with the [BaBo] modules, but you can use all the [BaBo] inserts.

Thanks to Mr.Quen for allowing me to use his pictures.

BaBo organizer is a stationary, very flexible system to store your tools, spare parts and even printing plates. The design is based on the iconic look of the Bambu Lab X1 printer. The entire system uses only 1 type of screw, M3x8 countersunk screws.

Fantastic design. I used the designer’s profile and the print came out flawlessly. Fits perfectly on my P1S Only a couple suggestions I would make: 1. Increase the top support interface z distance a bit. The supports were a bit difficult to get off. Not a big deal though. 2. I ran a print with the riser on and the top glass on the shelf that keeps the top open. It did rattle so much that the glass worked its way off the shelf and if I hadn’t noticed, would have fell to the ground and shattered. Just a small lip at the end would completely solve this. I am wondering if some double sided tape on the bottom of the riser to secure it to the printer would help reduce the rattling as well. looking forward to printing the rest of the drawers

Thanks for your feedback, the lip at the end is a great idea. I'm also trying to add a small angle of 2-3 degrees towards the back. I haven't had the glass slip out myself, but it's a very serious problem.

I am waiting for the screw I need to show up in the mail before I can print this out and use it. Do you have any idea how long before you will modifiy this with the lip for the glass? I would rather wait until that is ready before printing it. Thanks!

I could design it tomorrow, but I don't know when I'll be able to test it.

[Updated 15.12.23] BaBo duo riser
Really really nice model! I was looking for an AMS riser for quite some time but never found one with both design and functionallity fitting my taste. I love this one! Really great work on the engineering side: everything fits tight, no gaps, all really thought-out. First I was a little bit worried that the parts are only connected by one screw each on the bottom side, but as soon as you put something on top (like the AMS adapter modul) all together becomes really rigid. I prefer a nice surface finish over short printing time a lot. So inspired by @half_a_yoyo I used the original print profile and switched to the 0.12 profile, keeping all the other settings. Each plate took 14 hours plus 2 hours for the TPU plate, so all together around 30 hours. I used Bambulab PLA-CF and the surface looks stunning! In real it looks even a lot better than on the pictures ;) No problems with removing the supports. Thanks for sharing your work with us @Willi3D

Wow, that looks really impressive. Thanks for your great feedback. The pictures look so good that I would like to use them, of course only with your permission. To my defense. :D haha .... I sometimes have to print the prototypes several times until I'm really satisfied (see picture). That's why I print everything with a layer height of 0.2, otherwise everything would take a very long time. Again, really good job. ;)

This works so well. I printed the whole thing in PETG and it is super strong.

[updated 18.03.24] BaBo duo riser honeycomb
I've tried almost all AMS risers available. I think this is best one. Module system is very smart, stackable. It organises all my workspace. Led option for the logo is very smart. I'm using it as a status light. It pulses in green during print and pulses red when there's an error. It's solid other times. Very useful especially when I wake up in the evening and I don't have my phone/laptop with me.

Is there anything to prevent the sagging in the middle of the duo? maybe a attachment point in the front center to stabilize the front that isn’t supported ?

The white consumables look to be PLA support consumables?not recommended for model body printing.

My name in lights - yes I am vain 😂 This is a fantastic, well designed riser fitted here onto the P1S. I have been printing BaBo drawer units for the past couple of weeks and know how well they are made so was very keen to print this rister. Printed here in eSun Matte Black & Morandi Green with 20% infil and 3 walls - solid as a rock and tight fitting! The COB leds are USB powered and powered by a dedicated power source

Excellent work @Willi3D ! Well thought out model, but without all the frippery that some others add. *thumbsup* Printed with PLA basic with 0.12mm layer height and using PETG-Support like shown on YT -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Matf1Mna2zI Surface - even the supported - looks like charm. The only disadvantage is printing time of almost 16 hours. Plate 2 will take 15 hours. :o :D --- Hervorragende Arbeit @Willi3D !
