Here's a new suspended model from my star wars collections.. this time its the Imperial Tie Advance X1 fighter that Darth Vader flew.. as always i remix the fighter ship from thingerverse's Andrew Diehl who modified the model to be printable from Chanson Yang from grabcad..
The model is a simple single print of a skewed hexagon frame with the tie adv in the middle.. this will give it the effect that the tie fighter is climbing and going upwards.. As always i made the frame to look like Deathstar..
This one is a fairly simple print.. one important thing to remember is to set the wall generator to arachne from classic.. this will make the slicer print the strings..
I hope you guys have fun printing this suspended tie adv fighter
: UPDATE 1 :
Someone suggest to separate the ship, strings and the frame so that you can easily put multicolor filament on each of the parts.. so i've uploaded a new version for multicolor prints.. do test it out and tell me if it works..
:UPDATE 2:
i have added a LED strip addon that you can attached to the suspended tie fighter.. you dont need to print the whole suspended model again.. the addon uses 50cm LED strips inserted into the addon channel..
you can download the addon here: https://makerworld.com/en/models/132714#profileId-143896
