Seeing 5 colors on the face of the top piece, my AMS only holds 4. How can this be printed without a 2nd AMS? Put pauses in gcode and swap out spools?

Yes, this is 5 colors printing. Most of the color changing are first and second layer, add a pause on first layer and second layer change, and the important things is make sure the color change sequence for both first and second layer as both layer may different color sequence. I think this is work but you have to stay near the printer as well.

Have you tried 4 in the AMS and 1 on the external spool holder?

it doesn't works... you can't set a 5th color because extruder out only have 4slots and software can't handle the manual change (at the moment)

sucks it is 5 colors. comes out pretty well. someone should remix to only have 4 colors

Hi there - I love all of your work. What plate are you using? When the prints come into Studio they are facing down. That makes me think you print facedown, and I assume on a smooth plate. I always use the Textured PEI Plate, but I do have the Cool/PLA Plate.

I use PEI texture plate and print it upside down to get a smooth flat first layer as well 😊
