3D model description

UPDATED: 21-4-24 (improved STL file quality for smoother prints and added split files for people with smaller printers)

Full size imitation of the Swiss Gewehr-Hohlpanzergranate 58 aka Gw.HPz.G58 rocket-boosted anti-tank rifle grenade.

It was one of the largest and most powerful rifle grenades ever made - and also probably the most complex, with a very advanced fuze and propulsor unit.

It was designed to be fired from the Swiss Sturmgewehr-57 battle rifle, and served with the Swiss army from its inception in 1958 through to the late 1980's.

This imitation has plenty of detail with accurately modelled fin unit, correct nosecone ogive + contours, crimps and flares on the warhead etc. It prints in 4 major parts with the warhead and stabiliser tube locked together by a printable hex rod, with an optional plug for the base of the stabiliser tube and an optional hollowed-out stabiliser tube so you could mount this on a StGw57 muzzle device for display purposes in a similar fashion to an original, however this will make the walls of the stabiliser tube thinner and more fragile and you need 220mm Z-axis space to print the complete hollow stabiliser as it can't be done in two pieces.

Approx size of complete assy: 540mm (21.25") height and 83mm (3.25") diameter at widest points.

A really cool option for Cold War era Swiss army enthusiasts/re-enactors or people who are just interested in rifle grenades!

You can find my rifle grenades collection here on Cults!

(Note: This is a cosmetic imitation only, it cannot function or be made to function as a real device. I am not responsible for any mis-use of the printed items. The renders showing paint colours and markings are for
illustration purposes only.)

3D printing settings

Printer with minimum 125mm Z-height print space required! This will allow you to print the warhead and solid stabiliser split files.

If you want to print all parts complete, you will need 220mm Z-axis instead.

All parts pre-oriented in best printing position and do not require supports.

0.20mm layers for all parts should work but I would recommend using 0.16mm instead and playing with the infill to save time there.
