The Czechoslovak armored reconnaissance vehicle Tatra vz. 30 was manufactured between 1933 and 1934, with a total production of 51 + 1 units. It was a reconnaissance vehicle used in border areas during the Sudetenland crisis and in the conflict with Hungary on the Slovak side. One of these vehicles was successfully captured by the enemy. After the capitulation and the handover of the border regions to Germany, these vehicles came under the control of the Wehrmacht.
