Description

I created this pot for the hydroponic cultivation of catnip, for the well-being of my two little cats.
Catnip is an important element in the cat's diet, especially if they live in an apartment.

The print is divided into two parts, which can be printed together in a single color, or in two distinct colors using object mode or in two different plates

The top, when loaded into bambu studio, will appear full. but with the settings set, after the slice, you will see that the holes will appear with a honeycomb filling pattern.

REV.2 IMPORTANT

project initially created to grow catnip in hydroponics. but after using it for my two cats, I immediately realized that the absence of soil did not allow adequate fixing of the roots, so when the cat tried to eat the green and soft part, the entire filament came away, the seed and the root creating a mess on the floor.

From the previous version, I therefore recommend using a soil, possibly draining, and lightly wetting the soil once a week. placing the seeds under the cover.
Fill the container with soil up to the beginning of the side hole for draining excessive water, then place the seeds in it, apply the cover and wait for the sprouting and maturation of the catnip to be completed (about 10 days)
obviously no one prohibits hydroponic cultivation as described below.

Soak the seeds in warm water for about 4/5 hours before placing them on the soil,as described in step 1

For correct sowing success, proceed as described below ( only hydroponic mode)

STEP 1

Fill the top with the right amount of seeds needed.
Then, pour it into a glass with warm water for about 4/5 hours.
All the seeds that remain afloat must be removed because they will not give rise to germination.

STEP 2

Pour the seeds into the upper part, allowing all the water to drain.

STEP 3

FILL WITH FRESH WATER
until it starts to come out of the side holes and place everything in a cool place.

STEP 4

Change the water completely every day.

After 2 days you will see the first shoots appear. so be careful not to let them move too much.

STEP 5

By lifting the upper part you will see that already from the 3/4 day, roots will begin to form and go in search of water.

Well, from now on, continue to top up every day with fresh water, allowing the excess to drain from the holes.

Now, all you have to do is wait a couple more days and you will see your fresh catnip growing day by day.

Fifth day

Now all you have to do is wait for it to reach a height of at least 8/10 cm( 3.5/4 in) and I'm sure your friend will thank you

I recommend printing at least 2, so that after a week you can start again with a new sowing while the other is almost ready. so you will always have fresh catnip to serve.
the pot was created in a small size specifically to avoid having withered or wasted catnip unnecessarily.

If you liked the project, leave a 5 star review. Useful suggestions for improvement are always welcome.
good print

Great print and they work perfect. this is about 2 weeks after planting seeds on top and making sure the water level was full every day.

Am i missing something? how do you place the seeds so that they grow through the plastic? are there holes in the green plastic layer that i cannot see? and bambu studio is importing it weird?
